Job Description

Joseph Krar & Associates Inc., an Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance company is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant. This position requires that candidates have experience in the Insurance industry as well as excellent communication, organizational, and data entry skills. The candidate must also possess excellent time management skills and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidate must also have the ability to work well with others in a high-paced paperless environment. We offer a competitive salary with benefits including health, life and disability insurance.


  • Assist with front desk activities including answering phones, sorting, scanning and distributing mail, entering submissions into the management system and assigning tasks to the appropriate person.
  • Assist Policy Processing and Issuance teams with processing of binders and invoices on an as needed basis.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
  • Demonstrate solid decision making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow established policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of various computer software applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Energetic and positive attitude
